On Wednesday 30th March we will run a command line Linux refresher course in Hugh Owen C66, from 1 pm to 3 pm. Linux, and in particular the use of the command-line, has always been a training need when users have come from a Windows background.
In this session Martin and I will discuss about how to use of techniques to improve your understanding of the command line, use of common editing tools, and answer any queries that may have in using the Linux interface. This will be particularly useful for those attending the Software Carpentry course in April, missed the postgrad module last October, those intending to use the HPC in the next few months or want to do a bit of a refresher.
If you’re interested in attending it, please email Martin Vickers (firstname.lastname@example.org) or myself (email@example.com).
